Venkatesh Hospital, Mahalingpur, is more than a healthcare institution—it is a legacy of compassion, service, and medical excellence. Established in 1976 by Late Dr. V. P. Kanakaraddy, the hospital was founded with a vision to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone.

At a time when Mahalingpur had very limited medical facilities, patients had to travel long distances for even basic treatment. Understanding these challenges, Dr. Kanakaraddy dedicated his life to serving society with empathy, integrity, and ethical medical practice.

Today, under the leadership of Dr. Ajith Kanakareddy, Venkatesh Hospital has grown into a 100-bed multispecialty healthcare institution providing advanced medical care across multiple specialties while continuing the founder's mission of serving humanity.

ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಪರಿಚಯ

ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗಪುರದ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ಸೇವೆ, ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

1976ರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿವಂಗತ ಡಾ. ವಿ. ಪಿ. ಕನಕರಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆ ದೊರಕಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಇಂದು ಡಾ. ಅಜಿತ್ ಕನಕರಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ 100 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಮಲ್ಟಿಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

The journey of Venkatesh Hospital began with a visionary doctor who believed healthcare should never be denied because of financial limitations.

As the first Internal Medicine Specialist in Mahalingpur, Dr. Kanakaraddy introduced a consultation fee of only ₹2, ensuring that every patient—regardless of economic background—received medical care with dignity and compassion.

His selfless dedication earned the trust of thousands of families and laid the foundation for one of the region's most respected healthcare institutions.

ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ

ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗಪುರದ ಮೊದಲ ಇಂಟರ್ನಲ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ತಜ್ಞರಾದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಡಾ. ವಿ. ಪಿ. ಕನಕರಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಕ್ಕು ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೋಗಿಗೂ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅವರು ಕೇವಲ ₹2 ಸಮಾಲೋಚನಾ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಅವರ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ, ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜಸೇವೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿವೆ.

Although the untimely demise of Late Dr. V. P. Kanakaraddy in 1991 left a significant void in the region's healthcare system, his vision continued to inspire generations.

Driven by the same commitment to compassionate and ethical healthcare, his son, Dr. Ajith Kanakareddy, pursued advanced medical education and returned to Mahalingpur with a renewed purpose.

In 2006, Venkatesh Hospital was re-established as a 15-bed healthcare centre. Through continuous investment in medical technology, infrastructure, experienced specialists, and patient-centric care, the hospital steadily expanded into today's 100-bed multispecialty institution.

Today, Venkatesh Hospital stands as one of the most trusted healthcare providers in Bagalkot District, delivering advanced medical services while remaining deeply rooted in its founding values.

ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನ

1991ರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿವಂಗತ ಡಾ. ವಿ. ಪಿ. ಕನಕರಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರ ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ನಿಧನದ ನಂತರ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರೆಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಡಾ. ಅಜಿತ್ ಕನಕರಡ್ಡಿ ಉನ್ನತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ತಂದೆಯ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಸಾಗಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿದರು.

2006ರಲ್ಲಿ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ 15 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನುಭವಿ ವೈದ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಇಂದು 100 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಮಲ್ಟಿಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ.
